The loggia of the Oratorio Sant’Anna contains shelves of human skulls. This small sacred building was erected in 1732, at the end of a period of intense construction activity on the part of Catholics. In 1903 the lodge Oratorio Sant’Anna, adjacent to the Collegiate Church of San Vittore Mauro, was transformed into a charnel house.
